Making homelessness history in Wolverhampton

Earlier this week I was joined by the city’s Cabinet Member for Adult’s Service, Cllr Linda Leach as we went to find out more about the work of the Good Shepherd and Enterprise Homes Group on their mission to make homelessness history in Wolverhampton.

The facility, which is opposite the Molineux in Wolverhampton provides a holistic approach to ending homelessness in the city.

As well as operating a food / food parcel service six days per week, their accommodation and support services run a seven day operation.

I was really moved by the staff there and their dedication to each and every person that comes through the doors.

Something that one of things that stuck with me was something one of the staff said… “Everyone who comes through these doors is treated with love and respect. Whatever the circumstances that have led them to become homeless, everyone is treated the same.”

A huge thanks to the incredible staff team here, volunteers and everyone that supports them.

The mission to make homelessness history in Wolverhampton is really alive.
