Helping families in need with Bilston Resource Centre and Excel Church

Last week, I was thrilled to join the team from Bilston Resource Centre in their fantastic joint initiative with Excel Church and other organisations to ensure the people of Ettingshall and Bilston are supported.

With support from the Council, the fantastic team of volunteers are working hard throughout August to pack food parcels and deliver hot meals to those families and individuals in need.

The team are preparing meals in BRC’s new café- the Cornerstone Café.We know that Covid-19 has hit many families hard, and with the schools closed, many families who would normally access free school meals can’t and we’re keen to ensure they are supported.

And, as unemployment is affecting many individuals, Bilston Resource Centre also offer a range of employability courses.

If you know a family who needs support (food parcels or hot meals) then please e-mail: [email protected] or call 01902 494 192 to make a referral.
