My first shift at the asymptomatic test centre

I’ve just finished my first shift at Wolverhampton’s asymptomatic Test Centre based at the Civic Centre in Wolverhampton.

It was a privilege to join the incredible team there to support with the registering, sampling and testing of those who wanted to come and get COVID-19 tests in our city.

Please remember that this testing at the Civic is available only to those without symptoms Mon – Fri 8AM – 7PM and Sat & Sun 10AM – 6PM.

Don’t forget that if you’re getting tested at the Civic, free parking is available to you at St Peter’s Car Park, adjacent to the Civic Centre, off Wulfruna Street.

If you’ve got a blue badge there is plenty of free on street parking around the Civic Centre, and this is free to everyone after 6pm.

In addition, free parking is available Monday to Friday after 3pm at the council’s School Street car park, Peel Street car park, Market car park and Fold Street car parks until Thursday 24 December.

Results take up to an hour and you’ll be greeted by me or one of the friendly team!

If you do have symptoms then please do not attend this test centre, other facilities are available in the city and can be found here: www.wolverhampton.gov.uk/coronavirus-testing.

Together, we will reset, recover and relight the city of Wolverhampton.
