Great to see the children in their new coats playing outside in their ‘bubbles’.

I wanted to share this as it warmed my heart! A few weeks ago, I worked closely with the Rotary Club of Bilston & Wolverhampton West to secure £600 from the James Beattie Trust to purchase winter coats for a local nursery in Ettingshall.

The head teacher got in touch to tell me that families who had been hit hard by the pandemic were struggling and children were coming to nursery without waterproof coats.Previously the school had bought coats which the children were able to share but because of COVID-19 the children couldn’t share coats.

Both parents and the nursery couldn’t afford to buy new ones for the two year-olds but they desperately needed them with the cold winter months that are upon us to allow the children to enjoy the great outdoors.

With the help of the Rotary Club I managed to secure £600 for the nursery and it was great to see the children in their new coats playing outside in their ‘bubbles’.
