Delivering food parcels to Ettingshall residents

Over the last few days, I’ve been volunteering for Excel Church and at Bilston C of E School, to ensure parcels of food and much needed essentials get to local families in need.

For the school, I’ve spent lunchtimes delivering lunches to local families. Many of whom are on free school meals and the closure of schools has left them wondering how they’ll feed their family in the weeks and months to come. I’m pleased that all schools are putting in provisions for those families and are either supplying meals or vouchers.

We delivered some of those meals for families unable to get to a local school. Adhering to social distancing measures and taking precautions to not have contact with them.

Bilston C of E Primary School are putting in fantastic measures to ensure all children and families get the right support.

In addition to this, Excel Church are doing are providing a vital service to ensure people across the city have the essentials they need.

This afternoon, I was pleased to support families whose households have children or young people who are young carers and are providing a care role at home.
