This weekend, I spent some time volunteering at Wolverhampton Council’s food distribution hub alongside two fantastic Councillors (Linda Leach and Steve Evans). We joined the team as we packed 1000 care packages (of food and toilet roll) to go out to some of the most vulnerable people in our city.
The hub has the capacity to deliver up to 35,000 parcels per week in our city.
Spending time with the dedicated workers and volunteers was truly humbling.
I’m so proud of our city and of our Council for providing this much needed service during the Covid-19 crisis.
