Providing 180 back to school packs for vulnerable families

The new school term can be an expensive time for parents, so the Rotary Club of Bilston & Wolverhampton West and me have stepped in to provide back to school packs for local families in need.

We funded a project being run by Excel Church in Bilston where we’ve purchased about 180 ‘back to school’ packs for some of the most vulnerable families in the area.

The pack will contain much needed school items for children such as pencil cases, stationary, water bottles and backpacks.Yesterday, we handed over the backpacks full of stationary to local teachers and organisations who will ensure they get to the families most in need.

As a proud Rotarian, I’m really pleased that we could do our bit to support local people.
