Out of darkness cometh light is our city’s motto which I was reminded of on Friday.
I was back volunteering at the COVID-19 test centre in Wolverhampton.
Pictured here with me is Jack, who’s also a volunteer. He’s managed to secure a new full-time job after impressing fellow workers with his enthusiasm for the role.
At just 17 years-old, he impressed the security firm who help to manage the flow of visitors to the centre.
Jack is a really hard worker and we had a chat on shift together on Friday. He told me he was spending his first pay cheque on a Chinese take away!
