Wolverhampton City Council creating summer fun for residents

I am very proud that Cty of Wolverhampton Council has created an exciting summer of opportunities for our children, young people and their families with the Yo! Summer Festival.

Among the highlights include Beat the Street Wolverhampton – which saw 9,578 residents travel X2 the Earth’s distance and the new citywide Relight Festival starting this weekend, which is thanks to funding by the Council and the Department of Education.

I am particularly pleased that 2,000 places across the events have been for young people with special educational needs and disabilities and this is part of our plans to make the city as accessible as possible for everyone.

It is brilliant to see so many people enjoying everything that the Yo! Summer Festival has to offer, which for me included a recent visit to Bantock House and with many events still to come, I encourage everyone to get stuck in!
