Vaccine hope for 2021

It’s been a year like no other. If you’d told me a year ago that I would have been testing people for a virus in our test centres, packing hundreds of boxes and food parcels as well as setting up a food project for children from my kitchen …. I might not have believed you.

The last nine months have been unexpected for many; for businesses and families, for schools and children, for our public services and for many others within our community.

And, although times seem so uncertain, I look back on the year with hope and gratitude.

Gratitude to all the organisations and people who have put others before themselves during this pandemic.

I’m grateful to our NHS workers, care workers, teachers and shop assistants.

Personally, I’m grateful for my family’s health too.

As the vaccine is now here, I hope 2021 will be very different for us all.

Keep showing love, care and gratitude to one another. Most importantly, stay safe.
