Supporting Cairo Creatives

I’m proud to be supporting a group of business management students from University of Wolverhampton called the ‘Cairo Creatives’ who are doing some fantastic work in raising money for a local charity, Welcome St Georges.

In Cairo near to the tourist hotels behind an 8 foot wall is an area called the Garbage Village. In this area, the population are living in poverty and their only source of income is collecting rubbish to find items of any value. The children in this area also take part in this work as soon as they are physically able to.

Welcome St Georges aims to raise funds to build toilets, classrooms, buy educational materials and run summer camps for the children of this impoverished area to give them a greater chance to change their future and escape the poverty that their families have endured.

The Wolverhampton students are hosting a number of fundraisers including a ‘Pamper Evening’ this Wednesday 7PM – 9.30PM at Cleo’s Cocktail Bar, Ironbridge, TF8 7AD.

Treatments including massage, nail treatments, henna, indian head massage, seated acupressure, body shop live demos, threading, tarot readings, cakes, crafts, organic skin care, Indian cuisine plus many more. Book your free place via Eventbrite with a donation upon entry, to include your first free drink;

If you can’t make it but want to support this fantastic cause anyway, then you can donate here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/cairo-creative-raise-money-for-welcome-st-georges?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet&fbclid=IwAR3IzX6gPVJebHMFNx64VFlJ22peGTcrxIQqsrVSdL_Z8Ow6I9hLO4F10kM
