Rotary Club on target to reach £2500

Yesterday, the Rotary Club of Bilston & Wolverhampton West held its Bikeathon to raise money for local school Green Park. They cater for children with severe and complex learning difficulties. We are well on the way to our £2500 target which will fund important ‘eye gaze’ equipment for the school.

Eye gaze equipment allows communication using eyes. It follows your eyes with amazing accuracy to see where you are looking on the screen. You can then select the item you are looking at by blinking or clicking with a switch. For example, if a child cannot communicate verbally that they are hungry or need to go to the toilet, they can use eye gaze equipment to communicate this.

We’d like to thank all the cyclists, volunteers and donors who have supported yesterday’s Bikeathon, it is greatly appreciated.
