Remembrance Day- Lest we forget

Today is Remembrance Day, I was honoured to lay a wreath at Bilston’s remembrance service yesterday. It was great to see many charities, schools and organisations at the event. It was a pleasure to be with students from Bilston C of E Primary School in Ettingshall where I’m a school governor.

The poppy is the enduring symbol of remembrance of the First World War and an incredible symbol of history and our time. Today, we honour those who serve to defend democratic freedoms and way of life. We unite across faiths, cultures and backgrounds to remember the sacrifice of the Armed Forces community from Britain and the Commonwealth. #LestWeForget
