Yesterday, I was pleased to move the motion on the Menopause Revolution & Women’s Health in the workplace.
I was really privileged to share my friend, Julia Farrell’s story and how the lack of support for her in a previous workplace during the menopause drove her out of a job she loved.
Community Trade Union is supporting our reps to introduce menopause policies into all workplaces.
We will campaign for the Government to increase monies used to investigate women’s health, including diseases such as endometriosis, which can have such devastating effects on women’s well-being.
Even if the menopause doesn’t affect you, it will directly effect someone you know (a friend, wife, sister, partner). So let’s stand together to campaign for change to help more women like Jools stay in work.
