Today is International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia (IDAHOT).
It was great to join colleagues in Wolverhampton at the Council today as we raised a flag on the piazza outside the Civic Centre.
IDAHOT aims to co-ordinate international events that raise awareness of LGBT+ rights violations and stimulate interest in LGBT+ rights work worldwide. The day was conceived in 2004 and is now celebrated by more than 130 countries.
Well done to my colleague Councillor Anwen Muston for her efforts in arranging an excellent event today.
