Diwali begins today and I’d like to wish everyone in Ettingshall and Wolverhampton a very happy Diwali.
For those that don’t know, Diwali is known as the festival of new beginnings and celebrates the triumph of good over evil, and light over darkness.
Coincidentally, Wolverhampton’s city motto is ‘out of darkness cometh light’ which resonates strongly with the message of Diwali.
